Lovely Working Kitchens

I say "working" kitchens because although so pretty... they are highly
functional and you just know... these are busy kitchens!

Great Rooms!

I love a great living room.
Although my personal design style is Mid Century Modern, I love
any design that makes you want to hurry home.
Here are my picks for this week...

Love this!!

I saw this room and it's great area rug over at Bo Concept.

Home Aquarium Lovelies

Aquariums take hard work to keep them fresh and clean let's face it.
But oh, how lovely and calming they are when they are always
available to gaze at in the home.
Here are some lovely ones I found recently...

Pears and Truffles

Once again, B Comme Bon
has whipped up something delectably special in her kitchen.
I grabbed this recipe quickly, and hopefully it turns out as good as it looks!

Carmelized Pear and Truffle

4 large firm pears
50 g butter- (3 and 1/2 tbsp)
40 g sugar-(1/3 cup)
2 tablespoons truffle honey
1 vanilla bean (cut the clove and draw grain)
A few slices of truffles
a nut butter

For the toast:

8 slices of bread
30 cl milk
1 egg yolk
4 tablespoons sugar

Peel and cut pears into wedges and sprinkle with sugar.
Melt the butter in a frying pan, add the pears, honey and seeds from the vanilla bean.
Sauté until well caramelized pears and take a nice amber color ..
Cut discs of bread using a cookie cutter (you can detail the slices of bread in the shape you want).
Dip bread in mixture milk / egg and sprinkle lightly with sugar.
Bake in the hot pan and set aside.
Arrange on a plate a few slices of toast and then place the caramelized pears, drizzle with truffle honey
and place a few slices of truffles.

Serves 4

Gorgeous Vintage Fashion

I know I've said it a million times... but I seriously think that clothing designed
for women in the 30's, 40's, and 50's, were the best womens wear ever!
The clothing flattered a woman's figure, it was feminine, and usually... it was
made better.
I found these images from Vintage Fashion Guild,
and I love the stuff out of them! :0)

Love them!
