has whipped up something delectably special in her kitchen.
I grabbed this recipe quickly, and hopefully it turns out as good as it looks!
Carmelized Pear and Truffle
4 large firm pears
50 g butter- (3 and 1/2 tbsp)
40 g sugar-(1/3 cup)
2 tablespoons truffle honey
1 vanilla bean (cut the clove and draw grain)
A few slices of truffles
a nut butter
For the toast:
8 slices of bread
30 cl milk
1 egg yolk
4 tablespoons sugar
Peel and cut pears into wedges and sprinkle with sugar.
Melt the butter in a frying pan, add the pears, honey and seeds from the vanilla bean.
Sauté until well caramelized pears and take a nice amber color ..
Cut discs of bread using a cookie cutter (you can detail the slices of bread in the shape you want).
Dip bread in mixture milk / egg and sprinkle lightly with sugar.
Bake in the hot pan and set aside.
Arrange on a plate a few slices of toast and then place the caramelized pears, drizzle with truffle honey
and place a few slices of truffles.
