Gorgeous And Groovy Seaside!

I saw this unbelievable beach house over at DigsDigs,
and pardon the pun, but it blew my mind!!
It's retro groovy, colorful, excellently designed... and I want to live here every summer!!

There are so many more photos to see, so check them out at DigsDigs.
This might very well be my find of the month! :0)

Handbag Hilarious!

Oh goodness... I hope you love this as much as I did.
It really made me laugh. First because it really is funny,
and he does seem to want an answer to his burning question.
And secondly... his theories on the matter... I know you will at least smile.
And third, becaue I truly empathize with him, as I am one of those large handbag, handbag
in general hoarders.

Read this:

Why do women carry such large handbags?

" I have given up trying to figure out what my wife is up to with her obsession of massive handbags. Big new ones appear each week at home. In the morning, a new one is selected for the day. Its takes a while for complete ‘content transfer’. In the car, the phone in the handbag rings, and since the bag is almost the size of a cave, it takes forever to find the irritating ringing thingy in the tunnel – by which time the caller gives up and hangs up. Each new store we visit, she first heads to ‘womens bags’

Why are women fascinated by big handbags? And why do they buy new ones ever so often? "

Here are his theories:

" It’s primitive DNA gene"
"It is a baby-cradling fetish"
"Its that industrious feeling"
"It feels like protection"
"None of the above – women are just richer than men"

Now seriously, he reasons out each theory, so you will have to visit here: Rodinhood
 to see what he says.

I'm not laughing AT him... but with him.
HA!

So just for Rodinhood... here are some more visions to dance around in his head.
Poor Rodinhood. I really do feel ya.  :0(

Saturday Lovelies

I really enjoy hunting around for great little things.
These are what I have found to inspire me this Saturday... hope they inspire you too.

Sweet little needlepoint coaster kit from Jonathan Adler.

Breville Personal Pie Maker!!

Oh my goodness it's so sweet!
You can get this little sweetness from Modcloth.

Look at this super sweet Tuffet stool!
What is a tuffet you say?
A tuffet is what little Miss Muffet sat on when she ate her curds. ;0
Now I don't want to think about curds... ha!
But these little stools are so great.
This one is from Pfaltzgraff.

The Beauty Of The Diner

Aaahhh.... the diner.
Americana. Roadside memories.
There is so much nostalgia in Diners.
They have been an American staple since the early 1900's.

Most of the old time diners have faded into memory, but there are still a handful of the
original beauties left, and a few diners that have brought back that beautiful diner originality.

Betsy's Diner - Falmouth, MA

That table!! GORGEOUS! My grandma had this exact table. *sigh*

Pretty It Up!

I think... we many times neglect the bathroom when thinking of beautiful decor.
Why shouldn't our bathrooms be just as lovely as the rest of our home?
We do spend a lot of time there too.
Here are some more lovely ideas...

Goodness sakes!
I for one... could spend the entire afternoon in here.
Just give me a good book. :0)

I love the sheer lacy curtain around this tub.
I saw this at Biskopsgarden.

It's retro, it's really pink, and I think... it inspires me! :0)
